October 2024 | President's Message

L’Shanah Tovah Umetukah,

It’s a busy time for the office staff with the holiday preparations. We want to make sure all runs smoothly.

Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services will be held in the large sanctuary conducted by Rabbi Geier, Elliott Rabin and special lay leaders. You will find the schedule of our holiday services in this issue of the Times.

We will be preparing the sanctuary on October 1st at 9:30AM. Many hands make light work. (Hint, Hint!)

Please save the date for a commemorative program for October 7th at the JCC at 7PM on October 7th.

We will be breaking the fast after Neilah services. Please call the office (315-724-4751) with a dairy dish you would like to share at the conclusion of Yom Kippur.

Rabbi continues to teach Torah and Hebrew classes each week for adults. His classes are informative, lively and entertaining. Please join us since it is never too late to have some fun while learning!

Religious School classes resumed in September, and it is a pleasure to see the smiles on the students working with the Rabbi.

We are constantly working to keep our 105-year-old Conservative Jewish Presence in the Utica area alive. The success of our Temple lies with every one of you!
